Did you know that the French textile industry actively contributed to the equipment of athletes for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games?

5 companies from the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region have distinguished themselves with their textile creations as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games!

1. The Neyret company , based in St Etienne, wove the medal ribbon that adorns the necks of our athletes.

2. C hamatex, an Ardèche company , has created technical fabrics for several disciplines, and in particular for the shoe of the Swiss team's marathon runner, Matthias Kyburz,

3. The Payen group, also in Ardèche , provided the aerodynamic fabric for several jerseys for triathlon, swimming and rowing. In particular, they made the sleeves of the jerseys of French mountain bike and track cyclists.

4. Jean-Pierre Guinet from Lyon developed the fabric that was used to make the judogis of the French judo team, and in particular those of Teddy Riner and Clarisse Abgegnenou! The jacquard for the jackets was made by TTR and the fabric for the pants by Tissage Gacon.

5. SMB Bord Cote, located in Vindry-sur-Turdine 45 minutes from Lyon, made the mesh for the jerseys of the French Canoe-Kayak team!
