We tell you everything about satin
"Is that a satin scarf? Too bad, I wanted a silk one!" That's good, because one doesn't prevent the other: we'll explain!
Although satin is often referred to as a material, it is in reality a weave (crossing of threads).
In fact, satin is not a raw material but a type of weaving, very widespread, without visible weft. This way of weaving makes it possible to obtain smooth fabrics that are shiny on the right side and matt on the reverse.
Today we can find satin made from plant fibers (cotton, linen), animal fibers (silk, wool) or even synthetic fibers (polyester).
At Philéone you will find scarves , pillowcases and even scrunchies in silk satin.
