Philéone launches her fabric shop 🧵
In Lyon, it is well known, there are two pillars: gastronomy and silk!
And as far as silk is concerned, La Maison des Canuts transmits the heritage of the know-how and social contributions of 5 centuries of Lyon silk to its visitors of very varied origins and ages.
We have always been very attached to this beautiful textile sector, and we like to highlight it, explaining how virtuous, responsible, committed and promising the French sector is.
The opening of Philéone Tissus is a continuation of the work undertaken at the Maison des canuts and at Philéone Accessories, our brand of textile accessories made in France .
Since January 1 , 2022, the Anti-Waste Law for a Circular Economy, known as AGEC, has prohibited the destruction of unsold non-food items, i.e. fabrics. This ban, the return to a more responsible mode of consumption and the growing interest in home-made, pushes us to offer fabric sales not only on a few dates in the year, but to open a place exclusively dedicated to this activity.
Philéone Tissus thus occupies a place of choice on the second-hand market: no production in this new shop, only the sale of fabrics by weight, by the meter and by coupons from trials, old collections and end of production of beautiful French textile houses and for the most part regional.
We are aimed at all amateurs or confirmed people, who wish to create, sew and unstitch with quality materials, made in France.
Meet at 6 rue d'Ivry in the 4th arrondissement of Lyon from Thursday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., and also on the Fabrics section.
